“Hack for Good” is the first of its kind, end-to-end cellular Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) hackathon covering the complete ecosystem from device, connectivity, IoT platform to apps, to provide a unique opportunity to university students and professionals to build IoT based solutions relevant for Malaysia.

Category 1 : University or Tertiary Education Students from all private and public institutions in Malaysia.

HOW TO REGISTER?
Register online for free in a team of 3 members.
Upload a video pitch* and abstract** of the proposed idea for any chosen theme or challenge.
The video can be presented in any creative way you like. As long as you cover the Need, Approach, Benefit and Competition (NABC), and make use of NB-IoT Technology.
Top 10 best ideas will be shortlisted to proceed with real hacking.
* The video should be less than 2 minutes in length.

HACKHATON PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHT
After the Registration, the top 10 best ideas will be shortlisted to participate in the real hacking to bring ideas to life
A Pre-Hack Workshop
will be carried out to prepare the participants with the necessary skills for the prototype development. NB-IoT development kit and IoT cloud platform access will be provided to the participants. Participants may acquire additional sensors and hardware to build the prototype.
The participant will have a month of hacking time to develop the prototype. During the hacking period, periodic progress meeting with industry mentors will be
After 1 month of hacking, the participants will present their prototypes at the Hackathon Final.
The programme then continues with a Post-Hackathon Incubation to nurture the winning teams to be technopreneurs and to refine the prototypes into commercial ready products.
Total Prizes of RM20,000 to be won
Opportunity for winners to be onboarded to Ericsson Garage's Incubation Program to turn winning ideas into businesses.
